Sui Liquid Staking Hacker Competition Finalists Overview

After more than 40 days of registration and strict selection, the shortlist for the Sui liquid staking Hacker Marathon has finally been announced. Six teams from each track successfully advanced to the Demo Day of the hackathon. Let's take a look at these outstanding projects.

Shortlisted Projects

1. Aftermath Finance

Aftermath Finance is a comprehensive decentralized trading platform based on Sui Move, offering CLOB settlement for spot, perpetual contracts, and options, CMMM for long-tail assets and indices, as well as built-in money market functionalities.

2. DegenHive

DegenHive combines the innovative governance model of centralized liquidity DEX with NFTs, aiming to fully unleash the potential of $SUI on the Sui network.

3. Haedal Protocol

Haedal is a liquid staking protocol built on Sui, allowing users to stake $SUI to obtain haSUI, contributing to the Sui ecosystem while participating in DeFi activities to earn additional rewards.

4. Interest Protocol

Interest Protocol is a DeFi protocol that supports swapping and lending, where liquidity providers can use LP tokens as collateral to borrow Sui Dollar stablecoins to offset impermanent loss.

5. SUISA

   SUISA (SUI Staking Aquarium) is a DeFi protocol on Sui that allows users to stake $SUI to earn stSUI, and also to mint NFTs using stSUI.

6. Volo

Volo is a liquid staking solution on Sui that helps users maximize the utility and liquidity of SUI by providing voloSUI.

LST DeFi and tool track

1. Aftermath Finance

   Same as the liquid staking protocol track.

2. Bucket Protocol

   Bucket Protocol is a CDP protocol on Sui that features non-custodial, immutable, and governance-free characteristics. Users can use $SUI, $BTC, $ETH, and LST as collateral to obtain the required tokens at zero interest.

3. Desig

The Desig protocol offers a multi-signature solution suitable for the entire chain, compatible with DApps on various blockchains.

4. Kana Labs

Kana Labs is a user-friendly application aimed at DeFi and GameFi, dedicated to collaboratively building the future of web3.

5. Legato

Legato provides fixed-rate solutions for liquid staking assets and predicts annual interest rate fluctuations on Sui. The project won first place in the WebX Move hackathon in July 2023.

6. Wisp Swap

WispSwap is a decentralized trading and prediction market on Sui, using an asymmetrical concentrated liquidity DEX with automatically adjusted parameters, designed for a decentralized prediction market using the Ve (3,3) economic model.

Demo Day Details

• Time: September 29, 12:00 - 15:00 (GMT+8)
• Format: Live broadcast via StreamYard on the official Sui YouTube channel
• Process:
  • Contesting teams: 10 minutes per team (5 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A)
  • Sponsors: Alibaba Cloud, MoveBit, OtterSec

Review Criteria

• The jury is selected by the Sui Foundation and partners from ecological collaborators, sponsors, and well-known projects.
• Each reviewer scores the project based on preset criteria.
• Calculate the average score after removing the highest and lowest scores.
• The final results will be announced on October 2.

The hackathon is jointly sponsored by the Sui Foundation and several well-known institutions, including Alibaba Cloud, MoveBit, OtterSec, Cetus, NAVI, and Scallop.
