Dare to trade. Dare to win.
In November 2021, a chance opportunity led me into the world of NFTs. On a friend's recommendation, I purchased my first NFT - Chain Runner. At that time, I had no idea that this decision would profoundly impact my creative journey and career.
At first, it was just pure curiosity, but it quickly evolved into a deep fascination. This fascination is not limited to the NFT itself, but more about exploring the meaning contained in things that are fully on-chain. That Chain Runner is not just a simple JPEG image; it is a generative artwork that exists eternally on the Ethereum blockchain. There is no IPFS link, no centralized server; its original pixelated identity is directly embedded in the blockchain.
This experience became the starting point for my exploration of blockchain technology, on-chain art, and the emerging concepts of open and permissionless creation. The Chain Runners project is much more than just a pixelated avatar project; it represents a completely new blueprint for creation. This project is fully open-source, and its artworks are released under CC0 (Creative Commons Zero License). This means anyone can freely reuse, remix, and create based on it without needing to obtain any permission.
This concept of openness and sharing has opened a new door for creators. It's not just about the art itself, but about how to redefine creation, ownership, and value in this digital age. Through Chain Runners, I began to think about how blockchain technology is changing the way we create and share content, and how it impacts the rights of artists and creators.
As I delve deeper into this field, I increasingly realize that NFT and blockchain technology are not just an emerging investment trend, but also revolutionary creative tools and forms of expression. They are reshaping our understanding of art, value, and digital ownership, providing creators with unprecedented freedom and possibilities.
This journey has made me realize that we are at the dawn of a new era of digital creation. As creators, we have the responsibility to explore the possibilities brought by these new technologies and to think about how to leverage them to create a more open, fair, and innovative creative ecosystem.
