The losses from the Arcadia Finance protocol hack amounted to ~$2.5 million.
Losses from the Arcadia Finance protocol hack amounted to ~$2.5 million
An unknown attacker hacked the Arcadia Finance protocol, stealing Wrapped Ethereum (WETH) worth approximately $2.5 million. The team confirmed the incident.
The hacker exchanged funds for 839.2 ETH and withdrew them from the Base blockchain to the main network.
The developers urged users to revoke all permissions for active rebalancing tools.
The Arcadia Finance team continues to investigate the situation and promised to share the results later. A number of AML companies have offered assistance to the project in tracking and recovering funds.
Recall that in July 2023, the DeFi protocol also became a victim of a hack. At that time, hackers managed to withdraw digital assets totaling approximately $455,000.
