[Golden Finance] According to reports from technology media, insiders say that Meta has hired influential OpenAI researcher Trapit Bansal to join the company's newly established AI Super Intelligence department, working on AI reasoning models. Bansal's addition may provide significant support to Meta's AI Super Intelligence Laboratory. This laboratory has already gathered several industry leaders, including former ScaleAI CEO Alexandr Wang, former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman, and Safe Superintelligence co-founder Daniel Gross. It is worth noting that Meta has not yet publicly launched any AI reasoning models in its open source model family, the Llama series. In recent months, Zuckerberg has been intensively recruiting talent with high salaries to form a brand new AI team at Meta, with rumored compensation packages for top researchers reaching up to 100 million dollars.
